In 1927, the Chateau Theatre was built to present plays, concerts, operas, movies, and more. Now under the direction of Threshold Arts, the Chateau welcomes the community and its visitors to gather and experience culture, entertainment, and events in the heart of downtown Rochester.

The Chateau Theatre is located on the Peace Plaza in the heart of Downtown Rochester.

The Chateau Theatre is owned by the City of Rochester and operated by Threshold Arts. We are currently undergoing infrastructure improvements while hosting a limited number of events. Our visitor hours vary based on our event schedule.
