Downtown Rochester has a number of convenient parking options. Metered street parking and parking in City-owned ramps is free after 5:00 pm on weekdays, and all day on weekends.

Please note: The Center Street Ramp will be closed for construction from March 23 through mid-August. The recommended alternative is the 1st Street Ramp, located at 13 2nd Street SE. 

Other parking ramps in the vicinity include Ramp 6(59 1st Street SE) and the 2nd Street Ramp (14 2nd Street SE).

From these ramps, proceed through the Galleria at University Square (exit on first floor, Peace Plaza side) and to the Chateau’s main entrance.

The Chateau Theatre is wheelchair accessible. If you need special accommodations, please contact our team in advance of your visit.

The Chateau houses a venue for performances, private events, and community gatherings; an art gallery presenting local artists on a rotating basis; a retail shop featuring local art, souvenirs, and Chateau merchandise; and classroom/workshop space.

Our current hours are based on scheduled events. Tours area available upon request.

Our gallery, Parlour lounge, and retail lobby are open during many events, and by chance. If our “open” sign is on, please come on in!

The Chateau Theatre can host events for anywhere between 10 - 450 guests. The flexible event space is equipped for a variety of event needs. Please visit our event page for additional information, to check availability, or to schedule a tour.
