Downtown Rochester has a number of convenient parking options. Metered street parking and parking in City-owned ramps is free after 5pm on weekdays, and all day on weekends.

We recommend parking in the Center Street Ramp, then proceeding through the Galleria shopping center (exit on first floor, Peace Plaza side) and to the Chateau’s main entrance.

Spring 2025 update: The Center Street Ramp is currently under construction, and space is limited in this ramp. Other recommended nearby options include Ramp 6 and the 1st Street Ramp.

The Chateau Theatre is wheelchair accessible. If you need special accommodations, please contact our team in advance of your visit.

The Chateau houses a venue for performances, private events, and community gatherings; an art gallery presenting local artists on a rotating basis; a retail shop featuring local art, souvenirs, and Chateau merchandise; and classroom/workshop space.

Our current hours are based on scheduled events. Tours area available upon request.

Our gallery, Parlour lounge, and retail lobby are open during many events, and by chance. If our “open” sign is on, please come on in!

The Chateau Theatre can host events for anywhere between 10 - 450 guests. The flexible event space is equipped for a variety of event needs. Please visit our event page for additional information, to check availability, or to schedule a tour.
