Celebrate 98 Years of the Historic Chateau Theatre
Thursday, October 30 | 5–7 PM
Join us in honoring the 98th anniversary of the opening of the Historic Chateau Theatre with a historian storytelling happy hour + exhibit opening!
Local historians John Kruesel (Historic District business owner), Sean Kettlecamp (Olmsted County History Center), Kevin Reynolds (Old Rochester Facebook page), and other local preservation stewards will share lesser-known stories and facts about the theatre’s remarkable past and its significant role in our community’s history.
The evening also marks the opening of a new historical exhibit, curated by Lucy Kruesel (sixth generation Rochester kid), in the Chateau’s art gallery. The exhibit features artifacts and memorabilia from nearly a century of performances, films, and memories!
Do you have memorabilia from the Chateau? Please bring it down to share and document!
Admission is free, and all are welcome to celebrate this milestone in Rochester’s cultural legacy. Refreshments will be provided.
